I was struggling terribly to stay awake during my math class for 2 hours.
My solution? Keep myself busy by scribbling furiously and creep on the guy in front of me.
It’s very effective, except it makes it hard to concentrate on what the teacher is talking about…

Drawing of an old Chevy we’ve had for as long as I can remember. I wove strips of printed out black and white Chevy ads for the tiled effect. Everything is mounted to cardboard.
Media: Copic markers, Copic SP multiliners, acrylic paint, newspaper.
I think it’s a 1980’s model? I’m probably wrong though. (Knows nothing about cars…)

For my last project in AP Studio Art, we had to draw something that represented us and use the AP booklet in some way. I drew a camel with ballpoint pen since it’s one of my favorite medias and camels are hilariously awkward and I like them (and other reasons I can’t quite think of right now). Then I drew the Chicago skyline because I live in Chicago and I like architecture. The booklet was ripped up to create some texture and color (that’s BS, I just didn’t know what to do with it), and everything was glued to a piece of cardboard.
Since I was busy studying for other finals, this was a desperate attempt to have something to present for my AP Art final. I pulled this off last minute the night before.

A hammer is replacing the humerus bone!

Ballpoint pen and colored pencil.

Millenium Park, Chicago.
Done in ball point pen, marker and charcoal.
Size: 19x24 inches.

This is a drawing I did for my high school’s annual spring art show flyer. Many students from various art classes are given this assignment, and teachers choose a few to be put up around the school. Mine was one of the ones chosen. My class had to do a flyer drawn in pen with the spring theme in mind. I did a drawing of baby ostriches all done in dots with a ball point pen. FYI drawing with dots is called stippling for those of you who care. Also, the finished flyer had info about the art show at the top.

Stippling is a lot of fun, and I really like to work in pen. It’s a pain though, especially when you have a deadline! My hand was killing me…
